A Cooky Week-- Week 39
(Technical note from Ty's mom. I have no idea why the margins are messed up on this post.
And I don't know how to fix it. Sorry!)

Ka oha nui everyone from the Marquesas - the land where things have been going
awesomely with
my new companion, and we now have all of our own inside jokes
(including
over-use of the word "cook" to replace explitives).
This week,
I've been showing Elder Davis around the Marquesas! He's been apprec-
iating
it a lot more than Abbate seemed to, and the two of us are getting along
really
well. He
loves it here even more than I do, I dare say, and I'm glad that he will
(presumably)
me my replacement out here. We've been seeing a lot of the families that
we haven't
seen in a while too, and that's been really great. Particularly Celestine
and
her kids
and the Bonno family. It's been fantastic!
Work has
been pretty alright as well. We've scored some more lessons than the average
week this
week (still not the Standard of Excellence but still), and we got another
reference!
Louis and
Michelline's daughter has been living with their member integrator (that
bishop,
James) and
he called us about their daughter's friend; Ahuura. She's been talking with
their
Tehani (their
daughter) and is interested in taking the lessons! The only problem at this
point
though is her mom not wanting her to, and that right there can be some
pretty shaky
ground
sometimes.
At this
point though, we've decided to pray together (her and us) every night at 8:00
for that
specific
reason (it was James's idea. Wards do it to help the missionary work improve,
so we
thought
we'd try it). Louis and Michelline are doing really well as well. We've been
working
closely
with Coco to help them stay active, and the branch has been taking good care of
them
as well.
All in all,
things are going really well out here. Elder Davis and I are just living large
and loving
life right
now. Being on a mission has been like, really fun as of late, and the both of
us are very
thankful to
be here. I feel awesome right now!
Hoping
everyone is well,
Elder Harrah
-Elder's
first fafaru (pfft he barely ate any. I take that crap with fermented coconut
and lemon
now!)
-a rather
exceptional sunset (Davis was floored)
-dock at
Hatiheu
-on the way to Aakapa
-"family pic" with the Tehivas
-a picture we sent to Davis's old companion (the guys at his old house sent him pictures of them like,
wearing his shirt he forgot and eating his favorite pizza and playing with his Rubik's Cube and chilling
with his favorite sister missionary)

-we found a top hat in the only store in Hatiheu. I don't even know if they sell milk there
-a centerpiece the Richard kids put together for our last family home evening
-they finally finished this cool bench/roof/combo-thing down by the port in our town! I really like it.
They put the colors of the flag on there and everything
